This document outlines the warranty information for BOFI Racing products, including coverage details and the process for making a warranty claim. It is essential for customers to understand the terms and conditions associated with their purchases to ensure a smooth experience in the event of a defect.
Warranty Information
BOFI Racing warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship only. The warranty provides options for the replacement of a similar product, repair of the original product, or a refund of the purchase value. However, it excludes all labor and incurred charges, including towing, fitting, inconvenience, and purchases of other manufacturers' products.
The warranty is valid for the period stated in the additional information tab from the date of purchase. Mileage warranties apply to road use only, and proof of mileage is required. It is important to note that products must be installed by an independent, experienced professional mechanic, and the suspected defect must be present at the outset.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Incorrect installation
Failure to comply with the maintenance requirements of the vehicle
Processing or otherwise altering the product
Ordinary wear and tear
Any other external influences
Warranties are invalid if the product is used for racing, rallying, drifting, track days, or any other form of motorsport or competition. For more detailed information, please refer to the manufacturer's own warranty documentation.
Making a Warranty Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, the following documentation must be provided:
Proof of purchase receipt showing the date of purchase
Proof of mileage at installation
Proof of current mileage
Invoice of the work undertaken by an independent, experienced professional mechanic
All required documents must accompany the returned products for a warranty claim to be considered. If your vehicle needs to be used while your warranty claim is being processed, replacement parts from the same manufacturer must be purchased through BOFI Racing.
In the event of a successful warranty claim, we will refund to the original payment method, either in full or in part, depending on the nature of the claim. BOFI Racing reserves the right to determine full or partial compensation at its sole discretion, based on the condition and mileage use of the returned parts. For instance, if a part has been used for several thousand miles before a defect is noticed, only partial compensation may be offered.
Please note we cannot offer a credit or a refund until the manufacturer has accepted the warranty claim.

What does the warranty cover?

How long is the warranty period?
Warranty durations vary and can be found under the 'Additional Info' tab or on the 'Product Badges' for each product. The warranty period starts on the date of purchase.
What documentation is needed to make a warranty claim?
You must provide:
Proof of purchase showing the date.
Proof of mileage at installation and current mileage.
Invoice for work done by an independent professional mechanic.
What is excluded from warranty coverage?
Warranty claims will not be accepted if damage is due to:
Incorrect installation.
Failure to maintain the vehicle appropriately.
Modifications or processing of the product.
Ordinary wear and tear or external influences.
Motorsport use including racing, rallying, drifting, and track days.
How are warranty claims processed?
Within 90 days, faulty products will generally be replaced after inspection or testing. After 90 days, products may be repaired or replaced at our discretion. If products returned are found not faulty, they may be returned to you or incur a 15% administration fee.
Can I purchase replacement parts during a warranty claim?
Yes. If your vehicle must remain operational, you can purchase replacement parts from BOFI Racing. Successful warranty claims will result in a full or partial refund to your original payment method, depending on product condition and mileage usage.
Are labour costs covered?
No, our warranties cover the product only. We do not reimburse labour costs associated with removing or fitting replacement parts.
What if my item is damaged in motorsport or competition?
Warranty coverage is void if the item has been used for racing, rallying, drifting, track days, or any motorsport event.
I need to use my vehicle, how can I get it back on the road?
Replacement products should be purchased in advance of a warranty claim. Payment will be required upfront, and if the returned item is confirmed faulty, a refund or credit will be issued accordingly.
