Assign a Guest Order to an Account
This document provides a comprehensive overview of the procedures that customers must follow if they have placed an order on the BOFI Racing website without being logged into their account and subsequently wish to associate that order with their account.
Order Placement Without Checkout
Customers have the option to place orders on the BOFI Racing website without completing the checkout process. However, it is important to note that these orders will not appear on the customer's Orders page within the My Account section of the website.
Linking Orders to Customer Accounts
While customers cannot directly link their orders to their accounts, our Customer Service team is available to assist with this process. If a customer has an existing account, they should contact Customer Service with the following information:
The order number
The email address associated with their account
If the customer does not have an existing account, it is recommended that they create one prior to reaching out to Customer Service. This will help expedite the linking process.
Order Processing and Notifications
If the customer needs to check the status of their order after it has been placed, but before it has been linked to their account, this is possible by checking for any updates which will have been sent by email.
Order Status Update Emails
A series of email will be sent, which varies depending according to the stock status of the items within the order:
Orders With all Parts in Stock
Orders that contain items in stock at the time of placement will immediately move into Processing and enter the shipping queue.
One email will be sent confirming the order, and another once the order has been shipped.
Orders With One or More Parts on Backorder
For orders that include items on backorder, those items will be categorised as Waiting for Stock.
One email will be sent confirming the order. Customers will then receive email notifications regarding the expected arrival of their parts at the BOFI Racing warehouse.
One the backordered parts arrive at the warehouse, the order will move into Processing and enter the shipping queue. A final email will be sent once the order has been shipped.
In the event of any changes to the expected delivery dates, customers will be notified via email to keep them informed of their order status.
Rewards Points
If a customer completes a purchase on the BOFI Racing website without being logged into their account, it is important to note that any rewards points associated with that transaction will not be automatically calculated or credited to their rewards account.
To rectify this situation, customers are encouraged to inform the customer service team about their existing rewards account. By providing this information, the customer service representatives will be able to manually add the appropriate rewards points to the customer's account, ensuring that they receive the benefits they are entitled to for their purchase.
